I like to think I'm eclectic, but I think that really means lazy. Perhaps I am. I do enjoy reading, lounging on the couch, woodworking, lounging on the couch with a beer, baseball(preferably with a beer), and reading while lounging on the couch. Yeah. Eclectic. See?

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend.

So it's only been eleven months since dropping a note.

We did the Turkey day thing yesterday and wondered how the Clubhouse was doing. Would they open or not? How has business been since we left?

My oldest called yesterday to wish us a nice day. (And he didn't ask for money!) We didn't hear from the younger of my two. (So, he didn't ask for money either.)

As each day goes by, the Washington Nationals fall further behind in trying to improve. No owners, no real management, no reason for other players to wait and sign up. We get really pissed about that. Almost to the point of refusing to renew our season tickets. Almost.

Speaking of which, we got said renewal notice in the mail. Our tickets have gone up in price more than 10%. I think this management team is in for an unfortunate surprise. There is little reason - especially with no owner - to expect a repeat of what the Nats did last year. They ended up exactly where they deserved. But that month of June? Wow! That's what spurred the increase in ticket sales for the second half. (I know we were able to sell many games after the all-star break. No many, before.)

I just don't think the crowds are going to be as large. No longer the first season, and no reason to expect the great play in the first half.

We'll see.

(I do have to pay off that Morton's bet with my boss, but I may be able to offset it. My brother-in-law and I have the same bet surrounding Frank Robinson. I say he's out. BIL doesn't think so.)
